Congratulations go to Mark for giving us this website.  What I like about it is its simplicity, it’s neat and tidy and with easy access.

I’ve known Mark since he was a member of the original Carisbrooke Karate Club, known today as Newport IOW.  He was always a very enthusiastic member and as soon as he achieved his black Belt, he eagerly involved himself with instruction at the Fitness Factory Karate Club that had recently opened.  The club has grown in stature since then thanks to the leadership of Mark, his infectious enthusiasm and thirst for Shotokan Karate and for Martial Arts in general that continues to this day.

I visit the club several times each year in order to teach and to conduct Kyu Grading Examinations have watched the club grow at first hand.  As well being a student and SEKU Club Instructor Mark, over the years has become a personal friend and we have traveled together on various training trips both at home and abroad.

Mark is an enthusiastic supporter of SEKU; joining us at the beginning in 1982 he has since produced many fine Karate-ka and continues to do so. He is also a valuable member of the SEKU Management Committee.

I look forward to this website with enthusiasm and look forward to visiting on a regular basis.
